CSMdle is the daily character guesser at the heart of Chainsawdle, and the game most players mean when they search for a chainsaw man dle. Every day one member of the cast is hidden, from Public Safety Devil Hunters like Aki Hayakawa to fiends, hybrids and the devils themselves, and you have eight attempts to guess the Chainsaw Man character. A wrong answer is never wasted, because every guess is compared with the answer across seven attributes.

The puzzle respects the spoiler setting in the site menu. With it off, which is the default, only characters who appear in the anime are in the pool, so anime watchers are safe from Part 2 and the late manga arcs. Switch manga characters on and the later arcs join in, each pool with its own answer and leaderboard.

Type at least two letters and pick a name from the suggestion list, or press Enter to take the first match. Your guess appears as a row of tiles in this order: Species, Gender, Devil Type, Affiliation, Arc, Hybrid and Power. Affiliation covers groups such as Public Safety Division 4, the Quanxi Squad or Fourth East High School.

A green tile is an exact match and a red tile is a miss. Power is shown as a band rather than a raw number, running from Minimal and Low up through High and Very High to Extreme and Catastrophic. When your band is wrong, an arrow tells you whether the hidden character is stronger or weaker.

Three hints unlock as you go. After three guesses you can reveal the answer's affiliation, after five a blurred portrait, and after seven the first letter of the name. A timer runs while you play, and the puzzle resets at midnight UTC with the same answer for everyone on the same spoiler setting. Signed-in players who solve it are ranked on the daily leaderboard by time.

Open with someone who splits the roster down the middle. Denji is a strong first guess because he answers several questions at once. A green Hybrid tile points to the small club of devil-powered humans like Reze or Quanxi, while a red one pushes you toward ordinary humans, fiends or pure devils. Makima is a good alternative when you want to test Public Safety Division 4 and the Catastrophic power band together.

Treat the Power arrow like a binary search. If a Low character gets an up arrow, jump straight to a heavy hitter instead of climbing one band at a time. Devil Type is the sharpest column of all, because most humans have none and every fiend and hybrid carries a specific devil, so a green Devil Type almost always ends the game on the next guess.

Use Arc to separate the early story from the later one. The anime-safe arcs run from the Introduction through the Bat Devil, Eternity Devil and Katana Man arcs to Bomb Girl, while Academy Saga marks the Part 2 cast around Asa Mitaka.
