Higher or Lower

Higher or Lower is the fastest way to argue about Chainsaw Man power levels without starting a comment war. Two characters sit side by side, one with a visible power level, and you decide whether the other is stronger or weaker. Every character on Chainsawdle carries a power value between ten and one million, so a round can pit a Public Safety rookie against a Primal Fear or a fiend against the Control Devil.

The pairs are dealt at random for each player and a character never repeats until the pool runs out, so no two runs look the same. It is one of the most replayed chainsaw man games online on the site, because a single run lasts two minutes and the leaderboard resets every day.

The card on the left shows a character and their exact power level. The card on the right asks whether that character has higher or lower power. Pick an answer and the number is revealed. A correct call adds a point to your score and to your streak, and the revealed character slides over to become the next reference.

Your daily run has a 120-second countdown. A wrong answer normally ends the run, but you also get one spare life per day. When you miss, the clock pauses and you choose whether to spend the life to keep going with a fresh pair, or save it for a second daily run. Score counts every correct answer in the run, while streak resets on a miss.

Once the daily run is done, Classic mode offers two more runs a day with no clock and one extra life each. Classic runs still count for XP and stats but not for the leaderboard. Your score also earns a rank, climbing from Civil and Novice Devil Hunter through Division 4, Hybrid and Makima's Division all the way to Chainsaw Man.

Anchor your guesses on story roles. Primal-level devils and the heavy hitters of the Gun Devil and Control Devil arcs sit near the top of the scale, hybrids like Denji, Reze and Quanxi sit well above most human devil hunters, and civilians such as the Hayakawa family sit at the very bottom. When a fiend like Power is the reference, most rookie devil hunters are lower and most named devils are higher, but veterans like Kishibe break the pattern.

Watch the clock, not just the cards. Two minutes is enough for a big score only if you answer the easy pairs in a second or two and save your thinking for the close calls between two devil hunters or two minor devils.

Think about when to use your spare life. Spending it early on a long streak protects a strong run, but if your daily run starts badly, saving the life for a second attempt gives you a clean shot at the leaderboard.
