Impostor

Chainsaw Man Impostor shows you five characters and asks one question: who doesn't belong? Four of them share a hidden category and one does not. The category is never shown until you get it wrong, so each board is a quick deduction puzzle built on what you know about the cast, from species and gender to story arcs and who is still alive.

The daily mode is a two-minute sprint where every player faces the same boards in the same order, which makes the leaderboard a true head-to-head. It is an easy chainsaw man quiz to pick up and a hard one to master once the categories start overlapping.

Tap the character you think is the odd one out. A correct pick adds a point and the next board appears immediately. A wrong pick reveals the hidden category, in the form of a message like this character is not a member of the group, and ends your run.

Categories include Devils, Fiends, Hybrids and Humans, Public Safety and Public Safety Division 4, male and female characters, Elite Fighters with a power level of 50,000 or more, the Introduction, Katana Man and Bomb Girl arcs, and characters who are alive or deceased.

The daily run has a 120-second clock and you get one free run per day, plus one spare life. When you miss, the timer pauses and you can spend the life to continue with a new board, or keep it for a second daily run. After that, Classic mode gives you two runs a day with no timer, random boards and one extra life each. Only daily runs count for the leaderboard, which ranks by score.

Check species first, because it is the category that jumps out fastest. If four cards show devils like the Bat Devil, the Leech Devil and the Eternity Devil, the human or the fiend is almost certainly the answer. Hybrids are the easiest group to miss, since Denji, Reze and Quanxi can all pass for ordinary humans.

When species does not separate anyone, move through the other lists in order: affiliation, gender, arc and status. If Aki, Himeno, Kobeni and Kishibe share a board with a civilian, it is probably a Public Safety board, while a mix of affiliations may be about who is alive or deceased.

Speed matters more than certainty in the daily run. Two minutes goes quickly, so take the obvious boards instantly and keep your spare life in mind as insurance for the one board you truly are unsure about.
