Chainsaw Man Pixel is the image-based way to guess the chainsaw man character of the day. The hidden portrait starts heavily blurred and zoomed in, so at first you only see colour and shape: a flash of orange hair, a dark suit, the outline of horns. Each wrong answer brings the picture into focus.

It is a test of how well you know the series visually. Fans who can tell Makima's hair from Power's at a glance, or recognise a devil from its silhouette alone, will solve it in one or two tries, while everyone else gets a gradually clearer image to work with.

Type at least two letters and pick a character from the suggestions. You have six guesses. The image starts at a 40-pixel blur and every wrong guess sharpens it, down to 32, 24, 16 and 8 pixels, until the portrait is completely clear by your sixth attempt. The zoom also eases out as the blur disappears.

The answer is always a character with a portrait on the site, and it respects your spoiler setting. With manga characters off, only anime characters can appear. Players on different settings may get different answers.

A timer runs while you play, and the puzzle resets at midnight UTC. Signed-in players appear on the daily leaderboard, which shows the attempts used, and a solve within two guesses earns bonus XP. Your streak is kept in your browser.

Colour is the strongest signal at maximum blur. Chainsaw Man character art has distinctive palettes: blond hair, red horns, orange chainsaw metal, black Public Safety suits and white shirts. Decide which palette dominates before you type anything.

Use the position of the brightest area. A portrait zoomed around a face with pale skin and dark hair suggests one of the many human devil hunters, while a large block of an unusual colour or texture often means a devil or a transformed hybrid.

Do not spend your first guess on a random favourite. Pick the character that best matches the palette, and if you are wrong, the next blur step usually shows you whether the shape of the head or the hairline was the problem.
