Tap One is a draft game for building the strongest Chainsaw Man line-up you can with the characters luck hands you. Eight category cards spin, each stops on a random character, and you lock in one card at a time until all eight categories are filled. The catch is that you never know what the next spin will offer, so taking a good character now might mean missing a perfect one later.

The categories are COMBAT POWER, DIVISION 4, ANTAGONISTS, REZE ARC (MOVIE), ANIME DEVILS, HUNTERS, SPEED and KATANA MAN ARC. Every pick is scored on the server against a ranking of that category, so the only way to score well is to know which devils, fiends and hunters really are the best fit.

How to Play Tap One

Each round, every open category card spins for about two seconds and then shows one character. Tap the category you want to lock with the character it is currently showing. The locked card stays put, the rest spin again, and the round repeats until all eight categories hold a character. There is no countdown between taps, so take your time.

When the eighth card is locked, your picks are scored. The best possible character for a category is worth 100 points, the next best 90, and so on down the list, for a maximum of 800. The result tiles show whether each pick was the top choice, close to the top, or further down.

Your total earns a rank, from Pochita at the bottom through Civilian, Trainee, Devil Hunter, Elite Hunter, Primal Devil and Horseman up to Chainsaw Man for a near-perfect draft. You can play five times a day, each with a freshly shuffled deck.

Tips for a Higher Tap One Score

Lock early only when a character is clearly elite for a category. If one of the strongest devils in the series lands on COMBAT POWER, take it; a middling pick on the same card is usually worth passing, because more characters will keep spinning past.

Think about where each character is strongest. A member of Public Safety might suit DIVISION 4, HUNTERS or a story-arc card, so place them where they fit best and let narrow categories like REZE ARC (MOVIE) wait for a face that clearly belongs there.

As cards lock, your choices shrink. With two categories left, compare how good each showing character is for its own card rather than holding out, since a forced last pick is often the lowest score of the round.
